Livingstone Associates, Inc. was launched in 2004 to help corporations and organizations enhance their brands and increase sales through communications that build trust. We believe that, even in a fast-moving, dynamic marketplace, this must be done in an enduring manner, customer by customer, one "stone" at a time.
LAI was founded by its president, Greg Heydel, in order to honor God in his work. Greg is an experienced corporate brand marketer and a recognized communicator. In 25 years of broad experience he has worked with some of the world's leading brands including BellSouth, Dell, Georgia-Pacific, and American Cancer Society.
He was part of the core team that launched BellSouth at the AT&T divestiture and positioned this new brand as the "Baby Bell of Choice" with investors and 2.7 million shareholders. He also develolped and communicated BellSouth's brand messages to a broad array of key audiences.
Greg uses his operations experience and abilities to institutionalize communications for LAI's clients. That experience includes managing a service center and directing an entrepreneurial advertising and public relations agency as general manager.
Serving in senior roles with leading agencies and as an independent consultant over the last ten years, Greg has counseled clients including Turner Broadcasting System, ESPN Zone, Data Tech Communications, iXL Enterprises, Cox Communications, Injoy and its division Maximum Impact, Halftime, Crown Financial Ministries, and the American Association of Christian Counselors.
Through his work with corporate leaders like Georgia-Pacific, Greg developed a speciality in the area of enhancing brands through corporate social responsibility. This has become especially important as corporate reputation has taken on a more critical role in the buying decisions of consumers and investors as trust has eroded in the wake of the Enron and WorldCom scandals.
In addition to corporate and organizational branding and positioning, Greg offers the clients of Livingstone Associates, Inc. communications experience and expertise that can reach all stakeholder groups including investors/shareholders, customers, employees, regulators, and community and governmental leaders. He has been recognized for his work in leading campaigns that have won Silver and Bronze Anvil awards and Phoenix and CIPRA awards.
Recently, Greg has served as a research analyst with Calvin Edwards & Company, a leading firm specializing in evaluating the peformance of non-profit organizations. In this capacity, he has made site visits to non-profit organizations, conducted surveys of ministries targeting the Middle East, and prepared evaluative reports on organizations such as Cure International, DAWN Ministries, and Hope Builders International.
Greg is active in Lilburn Alliance Church, where he teaches Sunday School. He holds a BS in Journalism, public relations major, with a minor in marketing and management, from the University of Florida. He has been married for 36 years to Barbara and they have two grown children.
